Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Legal Recruiter with 10+ years of professional experience and a proven ability to identify, engage, and recruit top legal talent, with a particular focus on lateral partners and senior-level attorneys .

The ideal candidate brings a strong network within the legal industry, a sophisticated understanding of the lateral hiring market, and the ability to build trusted relationships with law firm partners and leadership. This individual will play a key role in attracting high-caliber talent, managing strategic searches, and supporting the firm's long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruiting efforts for lateral partners, senior associates, and other senior-level legal professionals across multiple markets.
• Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with high-performing attorneys, including passive candidates.
• Build and maintain a strong network and pipeline of potential lateral hires.
• Develop targeted sourcing strategies using professional networks, referrals, LinkedIn, and recruiting platforms.
• Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, from initial outreach and candidate evaluation through interviews, offers, and onboarding.
• Collaborate closely with firm leadership and practice group leaders to understand hiring priorities and develop tailored recruiting strategies.
• Deliver a highly personalized and confidential candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
• Provide market intelligence on lateral hiring trends, competitive dynamics, and potential recruiting opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience , with a strong background in legal recruiting, attorney search, executive search, or professional services recruiting.
• Demonstrated success recruiting experienced attorneys, with lateral partner recruiting experience strongly preferred .
• Established relationships within the legal industry and a strong understanding of the law firm landscape.
• Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates and develop long-term professional relationships.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Confidence working directly with senior partners, practice leaders, and firm management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority searches simultaneously.
• A proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented approach to recruiting.
